Game Level Grey Box

Because our team has multiple level designers, when I design a level, I will constantly ask them to confirm their level design structure. This will make the entire level have unity, and there is no sense of confusion. These two level design structure diagrams are the before and after comparison diagrams during the game development process. The second color-rich diagram was drawn by my team's artist together.

Summary

OCTOPORT is a horror game designed based on the above background of the Amazon factory. In the game, the player will act as a reporter and sneak into a factory called Octoport. The player explores, decrypts, collects evidence inside the factory, and finally escapes the factory to let people know the internal problems of the factory.


The game combines fragmented narrative techniques (the player collects evidence, and the player learns the story of the factory from the evidence) and the excitement of the player exploring the interior of the factory in a horrible atmosphere. On the surface, the game describes the factory’s Darkness and policy issues, the actual purpose is to obscurely express the various problems that Amazon has in real life. Through the player's personal experience in the game, this phenomenon has become more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The issue that eventually reaches Amazon may get the attention of the society.
